KBO API - Belgium company register
Look up a Belgian enterprise number and get the KBO/BCE record as JSON - identity, legal form, status, registered address, activity codes, VAT registration and directors. One number, one call, because Belgium consolidated its registers where Poland and Spain did not.

KBO / BCE (Kruispuntbank van Ondernemingen)
Belgium runs a single consolidated company register, the Kruispuntbank van Ondernemingen in Dutch and Banque-Carrefour des Entreprises in French - KBO or BCE depending on which language you meet it in. One enterprise number identifies a company across every Belgian administration.
That consolidation is genuinely useful: identity, legal form, status, registered address, activity codes and VAT registration all hang off the same number, rather than being scattered across separate registers as they are in Poland or Spain.
Our lookup returns the enterprise record plus directors and VAT status as structured data.
What is a KBO number?
The KBO or enterprise number is the ten-digit identifier assigned to every Belgian company and organisation. It doubles as the VAT number when prefixed with BE, which is why the same digits appear in both contexts.
Are KBO and BCE the same register?
Yes. KBO is the Dutch name and BCE the French name for the same Crossroads Bank for Enterprises. There is one register, published in both languages.
Can I get Belgian company directors programmatically?
The public search is interactive rather than programmatic. Our lookup takes an enterprise number and returns the company record together with its directors and VAT registration as JSON.
