ISIR is the Czech insolvency register, the official public record of insolvency proceedings, debtors and the documents filed in each case. It is maintained by the Ministry of Justice and is fully public.
For credit risk on Czech counterparties, ISIR is the source that matters: it carries the debtor identity, the case, and the procedural history rather than just a status flag.

What is an ICO number?
ICO (identifikacni cislo osoby) is the eight-digit Czech company identification number. It is the primary key for Czech company and insolvency lookups.
Is the Czech insolvency register public?
Yes. ISIR is a public register published by the Ministry of Justice, and its entries are freely readable. What it does not offer is a convenient programmatic interface for monitoring at volume.
Does an ISIR entry mean a company is bankrupt?
Not by itself. ISIR records insolvency proceedings, which include restructuring and proposals that are dismissed. Read the proceeding type and its stage rather than treating the presence of an entry as a verdict.
