Spain publishes corporate change through the BORME, the Boletin Oficial del Registro Mercantil, which carries every incorporation, officer appointment and dismissal, capital change, merger and dissolution. It is the earliest public signal that something happened to a Spanish company.
The catch is format: BORME publishes as PDF bulletins. The official open-data endpoint gives you the bulletin, not the parsed acts inside it, so turning it into rows is on you. Company identity itself sits in the Registro Mercantil, and insolvency proceedings sit in the Registro Publico Concursal.
We parse the acts out of the daily bulletin and read the other two registers directly, returning structured records rather than documents.
Is BORME data free?
Yes. BORME is an official public gazette and the bulletins are freely available. The work is in parsing them - they publish as PDFs, and the structured acts inside are not offered as a feed.
What is the difference between BORME and the Registro Mercantil?
The Registro Mercantil is the register itself, holding the current state of each company. BORME is the official gazette that publishes changes to it. Use the register for who a company is now, and the gazette to detect that something changed.
How do I track new company incorporations in Spain?
Incorporations are published as acts in the daily BORME bulletin, typically before they surface in any commercial database. Parsing the daily bulletin gives you a same-day feed of newly registered Spanish companies with their tax ID and founding officers.
